RiverMead Dishwasher/Receiver Lead in Peterborough, New Hampshire

Base pay starts at $17.28 per hour.

We are now accepting applications for an energetic and dependable full-time Utility/ Receiving Lead. The Utility/Receiving Lead is responsible for receiving all food deliveries and organizing/maintaining storage areas. This person is also responsible for overall kitchen sanitation and washing of pots and dishes by current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The ideal candidate would have some kitchen experience, be self-directed, dependable, and a team player.

The hours will be Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Responsible for receiving all food deliveries and organizing/maintaining storage areas. Also responsible for overall kitchen sanitation and washing of pots and dishes by current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for receiving and putting away all food deliveries; organizing and maintaining all storage areas including walk-ins; breaking down and discarding delivery boxes.

  • Responsible for the completion of daily and weekly cleaning assignments. Maintains a master list of all necessary cleaning/sanitation projects to ensure compliance with all pertinent sanitation standards/guidelines and regulations.

  • Communicates and assigns cleaning requirements to evening Utility staff.

  • Set up and operate the automatic dish washing machine according to the manufacturer's instructions and established policies and procedures. Washes dishes, glasses, and silverware. Returns clean items to proper storage areas.

  • Fills pot sinks. Washes pots and pans. Returns to proper storage areas.

  • Follows “clean as you go” procedures in the dish room.

  • Monitors trash cans and empties as needed.

  • Cleans work area and equipment. Maintains a clean, safe, neat environment for residents, self, and other staff.

  • Delivers and picks up “to-go baskets”.

  • Keeps silverware sorted and maintains containers in orderly condition.

  • Sweeps and mops all floors in the kitchen, and service areas as directed following established safety procedures (i.e. use of “wet floor” signs).

  • Performs other duties that may, from time to time be assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum one year of kitchen experience required.

  • Takes directions well, oral and written.
