Job Title: Sheet Metal Helper

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Helper to join our team. This role involves working both outdoors and indoors, engaging in physical, repetitive tasks such as moving heavy pieces of sheet metal, separating laser cut parts, and deburring metal parts. The position requires a commitment to safety and reliability, as well as a willingness to work in varying weather conditions. Training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start a career in manufacturing.

Hard Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally

• Experience with mechanical drilling operations and cutting parts with band saws

• Proficiency in deburring techniques using files, sanders, bead blast cabinets, and grinders

Soft Skills

• Excellent attendance and reliability

• Strong communication skills in English

• Team-player attitude

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Petaluma, California.

Work Environment

This role offers a starting pay of $21.50/hr. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM with no overtime required. The work setting is physically demanding and split between a covered outdoor area and an indoor shop, which is greasy and organized. Safety equipment is provided, and personal steel-toe work boots are recommended. No drug or background checks are necessary to start.
