The SHE & Security Manager will:

  • Contribute to the goal of a ZERO SHE Incident World and promote a Zero tolerance SHE Culture

  • Give SHE support and expertise in order to provide a safe and secure workplace for all employees of the site

  • Provide efficient “shop floor” support for the operational activities of the Premix site in order to ensure that production, maintenance and other projects are always conducted in conformity with dsm0firmenich SHE requirements, best practices and other relevant SHE laws and regulations.

  • Give Security support and expertise in order to comply with dsm-firmenich Security requirements and maintain safety and security of dsm0firmenich employees, property and business.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate SHE & Security leadership in the production area by setting standards, encouraging and coaching the employees to act in a SHE responsible manner for their well-being and organizing involvement in the site plans.

  • Be the visible ambassador of Life Saving Rules (LSR) on site and continuously keeping SHE awareness high.

  • Provide technical and practical support to ensure all aspects of SHE and Security are considered in the design of new projects, upgrades or specific standard equipment in cooperation with project Managers.

  • Promote use of CAPEX and OPEX for SHE-related improvement project. Review/Challenge SHE aspects of CAPEX projects (via the MOC process).

  • Optimize production process from SHE perspectives together with the Production Team.

  • Ensure gatekeeping regarding the SHE and Security compliance of the site against local regulations and dsm-firmenich standards.

  • This position is the SHE representative of the site for any coordination with the regional level of the organization (SHE, manufacturing, Q&OE), and ensures proper communication from SHE perspectives from and to the SHE Regional Manager.

    You Bring:

  • Bachelor, technical or engineering degree.

  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing and SHE-related positions.

  • Experience in SHE management and expertise in SHE topics including PSA, HAZOP, Machine Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Job Safety Analysis, LOTOTO, Confined Space Entry & Rescue, Safe Work Permits.

  • Production management or production support management background.

  • Experience with Production Management in Nutrition or technical manufacturing management.

  • Broad knowledge of related manufacturing and SHE disciplines.

  • Ability to undertake project and design evaluations and understand financial information.

  • Understanding of necessary systems and software (MS Office) used for reporting, analysis, etc.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
