ManpowerGroup Component Engineer in Peachtree Corners, Georgia

Our client, a leading biotechnology company, is seeking a Component Engineer to join their team. As a Component Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring supplier quality through various qualifications and validations, as well as managing supplier changes and improvements.

Job Title: Component Engineer

Location: Norcross, GA

Pay Range: $45-$68/hour

What's the Job?

  • Oversee project and part qualification deliverables, including Supplier pFMEA, Process Validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), Inspection Reports, Gage R&R, and Process Capability Analysis.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to achieve cost reductions, enhance capacity, and mitigate risks.

  • Select optimal processes and suppliers for parts, considering long-term fit and total cost of ownership.

  • Manage supplier changes such as manufacturing process modifications, production optimization, facility upgrades, and new equipment qualification.

  • Drive and manage changes to company requirements by initiating and overseeing updates to specifications and drawings through the engineering change order process.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a BS Engineering degree, or 1 year of experience with an MS in Engineering, or a PhD.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive-level management.

  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.

  • Proven track record of implementing Lean/6 Sigma/SPC programs with suppliers.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing processes, including key input variables for quality, cost, and capacity (specialization in metal fabrication, plastics, electronics, and/or contract manufacturing is advantageous).
