Position Summary

Support the Operations Manager as a trusted co-pilot within the Operations leadership team (vision, organization, practices, initiatives/projects…) on a day to day as well as on a long-term strategic view. Provide visibility around costs related to the Operations and Overhead processes through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), support F&C Manager in overhead piloting, ensure adherence to financial legal requirements and NAS.

Key activities & responsibilities:

  • Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in Operations Network and Overhead organization, seek for and support cost improvement opportunities.

  • Optimize business operations to release cost saving measures and efficient cash flow, continuously question and improve current set-up.

  • Coordinate reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close) across Operations and Overhead, and forecasts across Operations and Overhead; ensure transparency of these processes; follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps ensuring Nestle financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed.

  • Ensure control and follow up on Working Capital target and challenge the single components (Receivable, Payables, Inventory).

  • Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the Operations budget with Operations management and Overhead budget with Functional Leaders, perform revisions or simulations if needed.

  • Ensure clear control and visibility on variable & fixed costs, with focus on compliance with internal controls.

  • Ensure full transparency of costs and financial impact to the organization of strategic Operations and Overhead decisions.

  • Organize internal and external benchmarking of Operations performance.

  • Evaluate and drive optimizations across the different functions within Operations and Overhead.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Degree in Finance / Economics or similar

  • At least 2 years of experience in Controlling

  • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)

  • Fluent in English and Italian

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational and planning skills
