POSITION: Assistant Principals for Career and Technical Education (FT-12 month)
ESBOCES is looking for an experienced leader who values diversity, equity and inclusion, and who has experience navigating multiple constituents, agencies and audiences to run successful programming in support of all learners. This critical position reports to the Principal of the school building, and serves as a leader within the department, agency and the region to promote the development and delivery of education services.
ASSIGNMENT: Department of Career, Technical, and Adult Education
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively promote diversity, equity and inclusion practices throughout the agency
Continuously engage with a myriad of professional development and self-improvement practices
Assist Principal with all operations of the school building
Work as part of the leadership team to create a warm, welcoming, and affirming work environment
Conduct observations and evaluations for all staff
Build trusting relationships with staff, students, families, businesses, industry partners, and other stakeholder groups
Assist in resolving student disciplinary issues
Collaborate with Principal on needed professional development for all staff
Serve as a resource in curriculum, assessment, and instruction
Create, share, and role model the mission and vision of the agency
Thorough knowledge of Part 200 Regulations, graduation, and Career Education requirements
Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to high achievement, social-emotional, and whole child development of all students
Support guidance, work experience, and support staff to ensure all students reach program and professional goals
Manage all components of industry assessment procurement, delivery, and data management
Actively engage in the data collection, analysis, and goal setting for the building and/or the department’s Strategic Plan
Assist with the health and safety of building operations
START DATE: July 1, 2025
SALARY: $135,461.00
Job Qualifications
NYS SAS/SBL Certification
Strong communication/interpersonal skills
Experience with a diverse student body, preference to be given with CTE experience or background
Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
