Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a HR Specialist in the manufacturing industry, located in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role involves the management of various HR functions such as the auto program, the 401k plans, payroll processing, and the maintenance of Federal and State Employment posters. The successful candidate will also handle job relevant invoices, process name changes, employment verifications, tuition reimbursements, and manage the Scholarship Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the vehicle program, covering car assignments, accident reports, annual car election forms review, Motor Vehicle Record checks, car selection process, personal mileage recording and insurance renewal.

  • Supervise the US and Canada 401k schemes, doing bi-weekly employee contributions, arranging annual employee education, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Act as alternate payroll processor when needed.

  • Keep Federal and State Employment posters up to date.

  • Generate regular and special reports related to your tasks.

  • Keep track of and arrange payment for job-related invoices.

  • Process changes in employee names, employment verifications, and tuition repayments.

  • Administer the Scholarship Program.

  • Update the staffing database with new hires and employment termination lists.

  • Prepare safety manuals, schedule safety inspections, and report on Fire and Safety Committee.

  • Maintain required vendor contracts and productivity levels.

  • Stand in for receptionist as required.

  • Participate in special projects and perform other admin tasks as needed.

  • Provide system support for managers and employees on performance matters.

  • Aid with staffing events when necessary.

    Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR with a focus in payroll, HRIS and 401k

• Proficient in ADP Workforce Now

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
