This is your chance to wake up to work that you love, and people you love doing that work with. As the Director of Manufacturing Talent Acquisition for GAF, your role will be instrumental in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent to fill our most critical talent pipelines; Engineering, R&D, EHS and Manufacturing Operations. You will manage a team of sourcing experts, who recruit and pipeline critical talent into GAF’s plants across the US. Understanding the strategic direction of the business and its impacts on the workforce, you will analyze hiring trends to inform GAF’s response to labor market changes, such as shortages, surpluses and competition. You will provide thought leadership and strategically identify sources of top talent for hard-to-fill positions and to meet the short and long-term talent needs of GAF.

Essential Duties

  • Recruiting strategy: Align and integrate Talent Acquisition into the employee talent lifecycle, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and a consistent employee and candidate experience. Leverage resources as appropriate to balance workload ebbs and flows, procuring contract help as needed. Ensure quality of service is not compromised in the event of req load fluctuations.

  • Recruiting Capabilities: Develop and manage recruiter training and capability building; increase the team’s skills, capabilities and effectiveness. Help develop stronger talent assessment and selection capabilities of hiring managers and business leaders. Keep abreast of market trends and best practices, ensuring GAF is keeping pace and leading where appropriate. Develop strong credibility with business leaders and HR partners to proactively discuss ideas and talent issues, provide suggestions and solutions to the business and demonstrate impact in increasing the breadth and depth of the talent pipeline.

  • Recruiting compliance: Monitor, understand and adapt to the changing regulatory environment (e.g., pay transparency laws; OFCCP requirements). Ensure full compliance of GAF’s recruiting processes across all locations at all times and the training of recruiting staff to ensure they are well-versed in the same.

  • Recruiting performance and process optimization: Develop and deploy performance metrics and KPIs (including customer satisfaction and quality of hire metrics); use data to measure and improve the function’s performance and inform business decisions. Develop/enhance/expand recruiter technical skills.
