Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will install, modify, test, repair, troubleshoot and maintain distribution circuits to locate and repair shorts, opens, grounds, crosses, electrolysis or lightning damage, capacitance imbalance or cable breaks. You will maintain branch circuit system components, to include, lighting fixtures, panels, timers, contactors, starters, motors, variable speed drives, controls, street, security, solar lighting and obstruction lighting. You will install, modify tests, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain distribution circuits, substation apparatus, apply electronic theories and practices for the repair of electrical equipment and testing instruments. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, modification, and calibration of extremely delicate and highly complex electronic or electro/mechanical remote control supervisory equipment. You will operate a Bucket and Digger Derick truck to install electrical equipment where critical and exact maneuvers must be made to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the load. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including installing and pulling cable underground from source of feed through ducts. Removal and replacement of utility poles and pole hardware. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
