Performs clerical duties and provides administrative support to the assigned department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1.High School diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1.Associates or Bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE: 1. One (1) year secretarial experience.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusivelistof all responsibilities and duties.Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assists in coordinating activities involved in the preparation of department correspondence to facilitate on-going communications and efficient departmental operations in an accurate, neat, and timely manner as assigned.
  2. Screens and refers incoming phone calls to ensure that accurate and timely department communications is facilitated and that the unit is presented in a positive manner. Transfers calls to appropriate associate and/or department.
  3. Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
  4. Prepares and delivers outgoing mail correspondence. Responsible for pickup of incoming mail.
  5. Performs administrative tasks including, compiling reports, photocopying and faxing, managing database entries, and other duties as assigned.
