Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Sr Stf - Level 5 in Palmdale, California

Description: This position is with our Advanced Development Program (ADP), known as the historic Skunk Works, in Palmdale, CA. We are looking for world-class talent for this position to join the 75+ year tradition of creating advanced aircraft. The candidate will join an ADP effort as a Systems Engineering lead for the standup and execution of a program within the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) organization. Specific responsibilities of this role include:

• Technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility

• Creating and establishing the program system engineering processes and standard operating procedures along with supporting training material

• Developing system architecture and system design documentation

• Development of system requirements specifications through analysis of program requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures

• Leading of design and development activities based on system requirements analysis

• Guiding users in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies

• Providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology

• Incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations

• Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, Interface Control documents, and System Integration and Test plans

• Exploring and implementing advanced modeling features to integrate data across functional lines.

Interacting with the Customer on Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts

• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline

• Experience developing system architectures and requirements

• Demonstrated leadership of small or large technical teams

• Experience in program standup, establishment of processes and standard operating procedures, and team building

• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in the resolution of highly complex issues, including direct interaction with senior leadership within company and customer organizations and a demonstrated ability to deal with complex and challenging customer and supplier relationships

• Proficiency in Cameo, SysML and other MBSE related tools and skills

• Experience with Technical Baseline Management

Desired Skills:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment

• Knowledge and application of Model Based Systems Engineering processes and functions

• Experience with Dassault 3DX or other integrated Product Lifecycle Management tool

• Test and verification experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with communicating cross-functionally

• Prior experience leading major milestone reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR)

• Experience in the design, development, and production phases of a contract

• Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
