Job Description

The job entails supporting the environmental test lab located at L3Harris Palm Bay. The responsibilities of this position include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, making emergency equipment repairs, and upgrading environmental test equipment.

Essential Functions

This position requires performing mechanical and electrical repairs on thermal chambers, vacuum chambers, and dynamic shakers. The candidate should possess experience in the field and be capable of identifying and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues. This role also requires the ability to maintain accurate documentation of repairs performed and communicate effectively with team members and customers. The successful candidate should have a broad range of mechanical and electrical repair skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

  • Minimum of 5 years commensurate experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills

  • Refrigeration systems troubleshooting and repair (familiarity with cascade systems a plus).

  • LN2 system basic familiarity.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Team player.

  • Proactive minded.

  • Proficiency in reading electrical ladder diagrams, utilization of basic electrical test tools, and hand tools. Interface with engineers and customers when necessary.
