We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Manager to oversee multiple road construction and striping projects. This role is responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and field operations while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The Project Manager will lead project teams, coordinate with subcontractors and agency representatives, and play a key role in business development and client relations.

Requirements:

  • Coordinate daily with dispatch, subcontractors, suppliers, and agency representatives (e.g., engineers, inspectors, regulatory officials) for efficient scheduling and resource allocation
  • Support business development efforts by assisting with bids, client proposals, and cost estimates
  • Identify required resources (labor, equipment, materials) while maintaining budget awareness
  • Assign project responsibilities and monitor progress through daily communication with the Superintendent/Foreman
  • Oversee and manage multiple road striping and construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, company safety policies, and health standards
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality workmanship
  • Analyze construction documents (plans, specifications, proposals) to prepare accurate cost, time, material, and labor estimates for bidding and project execution
  • Prepare and review preliminary and itemized pay estimates, billable quantities, financial reports, and project costs, identifying discrepancies and cost-saving opportunities
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, warranties, and apprentice reporting
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and field staff

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years' experience with a significant General Contractor employer in the heavy construction industry
  • Applicants should have experience, in and an understanding of, the estimating process on medium to large size projects
  • Experience with Public works projects involving prevailing wage work within city, county and state agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and project management software
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and construction best practices
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze budgets, costs, and project profitability

Education Required:

  • Vocational or apprenticeship training supplemented with 3-5 years of construction leadership experience, or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Construction Management or combination of experience and education

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in both office and field settings, requiring adaptability to various conditions

Work Environment:

  • Regular travel to and from job sites
