Aerotek Multicraft Maintenance Technician in Oxford, North Carolina

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Multicraft Maintenance Technician to effectively troubleshoot and repair various equipment and systems. This role requires a skilled professional with robust root cause analysis skills to eradicate recurring failures. Responsibilities include troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, 3-phase power distribution, and industrial machine controls, wiring transformers, drives, motors, and other industrial electrical equipment. You will interpret PLC ladder logic, troubleshoot electrical control systems including PLCs, robotics, servos, drives, and touch-screens, and maintain essential records. Additionally, you'll handle new equipment installations, upgrades, and provide training support to other technicians and maintenance staff. Prompt response to plant emergencies and adherence to safety standards is critical.

Shift:

• M - F 3rd Shift

Job Duties:

  1. Apply automation skills along with related knowledge in electronics and mechanics to install and troubleshoot circuitry as well as control systems on machinery.

  2. Work on AC & DC Systems up to 480 volts

  3. Record maintenance and repair activities in a computer based maintenance management system

  4. Perform electrical and mechanical services on a variety of equipment (Packaging, High Speed Conveyors, Filling Lines)

  5. Work with PLCs.

  6. Use basic test equipment such as multi-meters, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems.

  7. Possess a fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic schematics, as well as mechanical drawings in order to solve problems in a timely manner.

  8. Strive to reduce downtime by working efficiently and performing countermeasures aimed at root cause analysis
