What You Will Be Doing

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer position within a team developing Electronic Warfare software applications.

This individual will be responsible for the technical, cost, and schedule execution of Electronic Warfare software solutions in a software development role.

The chosen candidate will be engaged in software development activities for Operational Flight Programs that execute capabilities on various airborne platforms.

Activities consist of, but not limited to, successful performance of all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, preliminary and detailed design, implementation, and test.

The individual will be responsible for making innovative contributions to the development of new business opportunities and product line road maps.

The successful candidate must be flexible, motivated, details-focused, team-oriented and demonstrate a strong work ethic along with the ability to multi-task.

Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills required. The ability to understand, resolve, and communicate both technical and process issues is required.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all software deliverables, ensuring allocated requirements are considered correctly in the design, ensuring the design is consistent with the overall software architecture, and the implementation and test meets both the design and requirements.

Other desired skills include knowledge of Electronic Warfare applications specifically focused on Electronic Attack and Electronic Support.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience, 3 years of professional experience with a Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Proficient in Object Oriented Programming using Ada, C++, Java or similar programming languages

• Experience in Object Oriented Software design and testing

• Experience with Linux operating systems

Desired Skills:

• Experience with or knowledge of Electronic Warfare or Radar algorithms and architecture.

• Experience with Development using Agile Methodologies.

• Working knowledge of Software configuration management and process tools (Git, Jira, Confluence).

• Experience with Static Code Analysis tools.

• Solid analytical/debug and SW/HW integration and test skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $85,900 - $164,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $98,800 - $186,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
