Resident Representative/Construction Manager

Be a Resident Representative/Construction Manager.

  • Argus Consulting is seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time as-needed Resident Representative/Construction Manager position for projects across the United States.
  • Projects include construction of fueling systems and associated infrastructure for commercial airports located throughout North America and the Caribbean and the Department of Defense (DOD).
  • Clients include airlines, airports, fixed-base operators, ENR\'s Top 25 Architecture/Engineering Design Firms and ENR\'s Top 10 Design/Build Firms, Fortune 500 companies, fuel-servicing companies, oil companies, railroads, and the U.S. government (USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, etc).

Job Duties Include:

  • Observe, monitor and document daily construction and testing activities
  • Coordinate daily construction activities with all project stakeholders and support look ahead scheduling activities
  • Regular coordination and communication with Argus engineering staff, clients, contractors, authorities, and other supporting entities
  • Participate in regular construction coordination meetings
  • Support quality assurance efforts in the field, to include scheduling 3rd party inspections as required by the contract documents.
  • Support project management and project controls staff in managing program budgets and reviewing contractor pay applications and change orders
  • Assist with document control activities
  • Support the construction administration services receiving, reviewing, and processing responses to RFIs, submittals, substitution requests and other documents generated in the field

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in engineering, construction management or related field from accredited program desired but not required
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in fuel system construction or experience as Quality Control Manager on fuel system construction projects
  • Capable of conducting presentations and meetings
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
  • Willing to relocate to project sites on a full or part-time basis.
  • Ability to read and understand project documentation to include design drawings, specifications and facility code books.
  • Familiarity with construction safety requirements including, but not limited to OSHA regulations set forth in 29 CFR 1926.
  • A valid drivers license with good motor vehicle report
  • Possess physical agility and mobility, to include safely maneuvering throughout the job site
  • Occasionally be able to work off hour shifts, to include overnight schedules, to support utility interruptions, as needed
