Tallgrass Creek is a beautiful 65-acre continuing care retirement community located in Overland Park, just minutes from Kansas City and the Kansas and Missouri border. We are hiring a Recruiter to recruit, research, interview, screen, and refer top candidates for job openings. This individual will collaborate with management across multiple departments to fill positions in a timely manner.

How you will make an impact:

  • Facilitates the recruiting process

  • Works with management to ensure timely understanding of current and future workforce needs and implement improvements to staffing processes, including sourcing and selection.

  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.

  • Sources top-level talent and makes appropriate referrals to Hiring Managers to further screen/interview candidates for hire.

  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.

  • Develops and coordinates internal job posting programs and writes job postings.

  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants at events such as job fairs.

  • Utilizes internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.

  • Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants

  • Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants

  • Performs reference and background checks on applicants

  • Coordinates communications with applicants regarding hire.

  • Files and maintains employment records for future references with Human Resources.

  • Works closely with departments during new employee orientation

  • Maintain personal contact with new employees through the new hire period.

What you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years of recruiting experience is required.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferred.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $67,000 per year
