  • Argus Consulting is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Human Resource Director position who will report to the companys CEO in our Overland Park, Kansas office.
  • Our work includes design of fueling systems and associated infrastructure for commercial airports, rail companies, military installations and oil terminals worldwide and cover a broad spectrum in size, ranging from small single tank operations to multi-million dollar fuel storage and distribution facilities.
  • Clients include airlines, airports, fixed-base operators, ENRs Top 25 Architecture/Engineering Design Firms and ENRs Top 10 Design/Build Firms, Fortune 500 companies, fuel-servicing companies, oil companies, railroads, and the U.S. government.

Applicant Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree is required from an accredited university.
  • The attainment of SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification will distinguish more sought after candidates.
  • A minimum of 10 years in Human Resources with 5+ years in HR leadership roles supporting business units and associates in multiple U.S. locations with a minimum of 5 years with a start-up or high growth operation.
  • In-depth, hands-on and demonstrated experience in the following HR disciplines: employee relations and retention, HR laws and regulatory requirements, training and development, performance management, recruitment and selection, compensation planning and administration, and benefits.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, change management and company integrations is a benefit.

Responsibilities

The Director of Human Resources will report to the companys CEO. Currently, s/he will supervise one associate: a Human Resource Manager. The Director will be responsible for leading the overall strategy and execution of the human resources function including recruiting, talent management, employee relations, policies and procedures, legal/compliance, compensation, benefits, HR analysis and reporting, and new business & employee integration. Key responsibilities and expectations will consist of:

Developing a trusted and effective human resources team to support future growth.

Supporting all levels of leadership by providing help, direction, advice and counsel.

Leading and implementing various projects to further people strategy while possessing a willingness to handle day-to-day tactical HR functions and duties.

Enhancing efforts to develop long-term meaningful career path options for all employees with clearly identified competency, knowledge and skill requirements as well as training programs to support career goals.

Establishing and implementing human resource efforts that effectively communicate and support the firm\'s mission and strategic plan.

Enhancing our recruiting efforts to find the best talent on a national and global basis, bringing creative approaches and outside the box thinking.
