Team Overview

The Portfolio Delivery Coach will report to the Director of Enterprise Agility & Strategic Enablement Team, accountable for oversight and execution of programs required to realize our corporate strategy. The Enterprise Agility & Strategic Enablement Team manages our strategic programs in partnership with business leaders. It works collaboratively with other groups to ensure initiatives in execution are aligned with corporate strategy, resources are efficiently allocated, risks are mitigated, outcomes are achieved, and benefits are realized.

The incumbent will:

  • The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, hands-on delivery expertise, and exceptional coaching skills.

  • Facilitate strategic alignment, enhance organizational performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • This role will be instrumental in implementing and scaling OKR frameworks, planning processes and customer-centric practices helping bring greater efficiency, improved collaboration, and increased value delivery to our organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner with different stakeholders to analyze processes, identify pain points, and develop data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and achieve desired outcomes.

  • Provide expert guidance on best practices and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, empowering teams to adapt to evolving business and technology needs.

  • Develop and implement strategies to track and measure the tangible benefits of implemented solutions, demonstrating their positive impact on key performance indicators and overall business goals.

  • Continuously assess and refine processes to ensure ongoing optimization and value realization.

Skills:

  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Analytically dissects complex issues, identifies root causes, and recommend effective solutions.

  • Influential Communication & Collaboration: Builds strong relationships, communicates persuasively at all levels, and fosters collaboration across teams.

  • Facilitation & Coaching Expertise: Designs and delivers impactful workshops, training, and coaching to elevate team performance.

  • Project & Change Leadership: Drives successful project delivery and guides teams through transitions, ensuring adoption of new processes and tools.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverages data analysis to derive insights, measure progress, and inform strategic decisions.

  • OKR Methodologies: Implements and manages OKRs, aligns portfolios with strategic goals.

  • Digital Transformation: Leads and supports initiatives to adopt new technologies and modernize processes.

  • Risk Management & Governance: Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks, while ensuring transparency and accountability.

Screening Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of proven Product or Program Delivery experience, management consulting, organizational development or a similar role.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and implementing complex projects or initiatives.

  • Experience in a client-facing role, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment.

  • Experience in coaching leaders.

  • Experience supporting change initiatives.

  • Experience working with teams that follow the Lean/Agile Framework.

  • Experience conducting tailored workshops for problem solving, portfolio planning, OKRs, KPIs

  • Experience working with Azure Devops, Agile Place, Planview.

Assets:

  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)

Salary Range:

  • Agile Coach 18: Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $92,355 To $123,139 plus a performance-based incentive.

Location

  • Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.

  • This role will be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa.
