JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Visitor Services Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional visitor experience, offering information and assistance to museum guests, and supporting the museum\'s operations and customer service needs. This role is critical in enhancing the overall visitor experience and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Visitor Interaction: Greet visitors warmly upon arrival. Provide detailed information about the museum\'s exhibits, programs, and services. Answer visitor questions and provide directions within the museum. 2. Customer Service: Handle admission sales and process tickets efficiently. Assist with membership sales and renewals. Resolve visitor issues and complaints promptly and effectively. 3. Admissions and Retail: Operate cash registers and credit card processing machines. Maintain accurate records of daily transactions. Assist in the museum gift shop, including stocking and inventory management. 4. Events Support: Support the setup and execution of museum events and educational programs. Provide assistance during special events, ensuring visitor safety and satisfaction. 5. Facility Management: Monitor the cleanliness and organization of visitor areas. Conduct regular inspections to ensure exhibits and facilities are in good condition. Coordinate with museum staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 6. Communication: Update and maintain visitor information boards and materials. Maintain ongoing communication with museum staff to support visitor needs. Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a museum or cultural institution, is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale systems. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions: Must be available to work weekends and for special events as required.
