Top and Bottom Grinding Operator Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Summary: Run multiple Stahli or Blanchard grinding machines producing a quality product to blueprint specifications. Responsibilities: Set up and operate any or all of the following top and bottom machines: Blanchards and Stahli (605 or 702) Install, change, and dress grinding wheels where applicable. Determine amount of stock to remove while working within tolerances. Gage inserts to insure proper dimensions. Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics. Pull samples and Record inspection results on route card. Place inserts into proper trays and move them to the next operation. Separate scrap from good inserts, document accurately. Scan correct production information. Operate other equipment as needed. Train new operators when required. Operators should be capable of setting up machines and trouble shooting basic to moderate problems. Operator responsible for following inspection control plan, assuring product is processed according to proper routings, specifications and that the quantity and style are correct. Education and Experience: Must have High School diploma or GED. Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds. Commitment to working safely and understanding all safety procedures. Deviations in routine are handled according to operating procedures and/or work instructions. Work to meet daily departmental production goals. Must be reliable and dependable. Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisor, team members, and across shifts.
