TAD PGS, Inc. Shipping & Receiving Supervisor in Oro Valley, Arizona

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aShipping & Receiving Supervisorto join a leading Company located inOro Valley, AZ.

Salary: $75k-$85k annually

US Citizenship is required.

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor oversees the supervision of S&R employees , to ensure goods are shipped and received per FAA requirements. This position is also responsible for the movement of goods within the facility. The FAA Shipping & Receiving Supervisor reports to the Sr. Procurement Manager. This Supervisor will have direct reports.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for Shipping and Receiving (S&R) personnel actions and oversees most of the day-to-day operations of the group .

  • Maintains necessary records/documents of S&R operations.

  • Leads and directs S&R employees as defined by business needs, using current scorecards & standard work.

  • Responsible for working closely with Buyers/Planners on Material needs for the site.

  • Makes additions to the S&R schedule, expedites delivery when necessary, reviews special requirements, and fills Kanban as needed .

  • Assigns personnel to document the issuance of materials, parts, units & consumables per established procedures.

  • Be able to work closely with site leadership regarding strategic objectives for the S&R team.

  • Work closely with team leads to make sure Visual is correct and up to date.

  • Responsible material handlers pulling Kanban cards, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), and communication needs to the Buyer/Planners, production, and planning.

  • Support cycle counts for VMI suppliers verifying stock.

  • Need to be able to stock incoming parts to correct location.

  • Maintain/Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.

  • Run the SQDIP board and report out S&R Metrics.

  • Oversees, maintains, and processes in a timely manner receipts of material in the stockroom & issuances to work orders.

  • Oversees and maintains the shelf life program.

  • Work with quality engineering to resolve line stoppages.

  • Identifies, controls, and documents non-conforming materials per established quality procedures.

  • Ensures the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components per established quality procedures.

  • Works closely with Compliance on incoming materials and Air Waybill approvals and tracking.

  • Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.

  • Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings.

  • Ensures all current and new employees are trained in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments in a safe and efficient manner .

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

  • Maintain the stockroom department and the stockroom in a safe, clean, and orderly manner at all times .

  • Maintains the order and proper storage of all aircraft material.

  • Builds the self-confidence and self-esteem of others.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.

  • May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) , and additional hours as necessary.

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum 3 years of related Shipping and Receiving supervisor experience.

  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Access and Project

  • Must be able to lift up to 45lbs unassisted

  • Must have strong leadership skills

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

    Desired Qualifications :

  • Solid experience in operational supervision.

  • Solid understanding of and experience in a Kanban environment.

  • Ability to multitask and address multiple requirements in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.

  • Solves complex problems & exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to drive tasks to completion.

  • Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; is able to multi-task and be able to change priorities as required by customer-driven demands.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and its application to operations.

  • Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as MSDS, safety rules, operating and quality instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
