CymSTAR LLC Business Development Associate - FL in Orlando, Florida

SUMMARY:

We are seeking an individual with the desire, aptitude, and abilities to learn the intricacies and talents of Business Development for a leading flight simulation and engineering company engaged with Department of Defense training and simulation systems. You will learn under the mentorship and example of experienced Business Development Director(s) while performing in an assistant role with the long-term goal of graduating beyond the associate level within CymSTAR.

You will assist the Director of Business Development for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps in leading CymSTAR’s growth and expansion efforts; and provide support identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The Director is responsible for developing and executing innovative business strategies, forging strong relationships with key stakeholders, and leading high-performing business capture teams and you would assist and support these efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Business Strategy and Planning:

o Assist the Director to develop and implement a comprehensive Business strategy for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and International market aligned with the CymSTAR's vision and goals.

o Assist in analyzing market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.

• New Business Opportunities:

o Contribute to Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential markets for expansion.

o Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess the viability of new ventures.

o Support the Director in business negotiations and close strategic partnerships, collaborations and teaming agreements.

• Sales and Revenue Growth:

o Work closely with the Director of Business Development to align business development efforts with sales goals and revenue targets.

o Support the development and maintenance of a sales pipeline, actively pursuing new leads and prospects.

o Drive business development initiatives that lead to revenue growth and increased market share.

• Relationship Management:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, partners, and stakeholders.

o Cultivate a network of industry contacts to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.

o Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

• Team Leadership:

o Support and assist Capture teams to achieve goals.

o Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that promotes creativity and success.

• Financial Analysis and Reporting:

o Assist in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting related to business development activities.

o Work closely with the Director of Business Development to establish an annual budget.

o Support development and updating of regular reports to the Vice President of Business Development, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.

o

• Other Duties:

o Duties as required to effectively support CymSTAR business development objectives.

o Assist the Director of U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force as required.

o Travel and participation at tradeshows.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Business, Marketing or related field required. Any experience or familiarity with US military services is desired, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional literature. Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate in English. Ability to effectively present information to supervisors and colleagues. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with attention to detail and accuracy.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and calculate ratios and percentages, Ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are essential. Experienced and proficient in the use of standard personal computer software tools; including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation graphics and databases.

REASONING ABILITY:

Able to consistently exercise rational discretion and judgment in performance of job. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, reason, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand and interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables with minimal assistance.

CITIZENSHIP:

U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Background and/or education in business development, sales, or strategic partnership management.

• Strategic thinker with the willingness to learn how to develop and execute innovative business plans.

• Adept at building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.

• Knowledge of relevant industries, markets, and emerging technologies desired, but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Employees will be expected to perform job duties in a typical office environment, from remote/home and work location(s), and on location at U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps facilities, including flight lines and other locations where military training is conducted, will likely require strenuous physical activity and greater physical mobility than required in a typical office environment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• This position will require travel to customer and Industry partner sites typically within the United States.

• Work hours will occasionally be outside typical business hours and may include travel, attending business & social events and meetings with customers and business partners.
