Step into a vital role as an Analyst in Academic Assessment & Analytics, where your skills in data management and analysis will directly contribute to advancing academic quality and student success. Under the guidance of the Director of Academic Analytics and Assessment, you'll play a key part in refining data for accurate, impactful decision-making. Your work will involve organizing raw data, ensuring data integrity, and managing databases, all essential to maintaining excellence in institutional reporting and analysis.

 

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel who is passionate about translating complex data into meaningful insights. Summary of Responsibilities

 

• Data Management and Cleaning: Manage and organize large datasets from various sources and clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency e.g., Identify and rectify missing values, outliers, and duplicate records in a dataset to ensure reliable analysis.

• Data Analysis: Perform basic descriptive and predictive analysis to summarize and describe data trends and patterns. Provide written interpretations of analysis results to support decision-making.

• Dashboard and Reporting: Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.

• Research and Literature Review: Conduct research on emerging trends and methodologies in assessment and data analysis.

• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

 

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarities with statistical packages and other tools such as SPSS, and R. Previous experience in data cleaning, management, or analysis. Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). (Licenses/Certifications:)

Knowledge

 

• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of statistical data collection, analysis, tracking, and reporting systems, methods, and techniques.

 

Skills

 

• Skill in collecting, analyzing, verifying, and manipulating research data.

 

Abilities

 

• Ability to learn new software tools.

• Ability to interpret and analyze complex datasets and present findings clearly.

• Strong problem-solving ability.

• Detail-oriented.

• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
