Position Announcement

 

Utah Valley University is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Administrative Support! In this role, you will perform a variety of administrative tasks under general supervision, including composing routine correspondence, maintaining records, and providing accurate information on university policies and procedures. You will play a key role in informing students, faculty, and the public about available department and university services, ensuring they receive the assistance they need. Additionally, you will coordinate book orders, manage requisitions and purchase orders, and maintain an inventory of office equipment and supplies. Summary of Responsibilities

 

• Performs various and confidential administrative support duties, including composing routine correspondence, meeting minutes and obtaining factual information requiring knowledge of policies/procedures of both assigned and work related areas.

• Informs students, faculty, and the general public of available departmental and university services. Receives and answers inquiries regarding departmental information.

• Coordinates the preparation of reports, publications, and newsletters. Maintains inventory of office equipment and supplies and other office duties as needed.

• Establishes, updates, and maintains unit files, inventories, ordering, receiving, billing, distributing, monitoring, and reconciling expenditures.

• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree and one year of experience or any combination of education and experience related to the summary of duties totaling three years.

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

 

Knowledge

 

• Knowledge of office methods, techniques, practices and procedures, computer software applications, including word processing,

• spreadsheets, email, and databases.

 

Skills

Abilities

 

• Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.

• Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.
