    RESPONSIBILITY:

    Leadership role in charge of coordination and management of all technical issues for designated area of responsibility (AOR). Supervision of Process Engineers and other Process Engineering Department staff assigned to that AOR. Develop/improve processes and manage technical issues. Work closely with other internal departments to ensure we are proceeding in the proper direction. Ensure other departments are properly supporting the processes. Provide direct support to the customer and other internal departments as needed.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Directly supervise up to ten employees and shall meet regularly with each member on their team to review project needs and ensures the responsible engineer designs experiments, makes process modifications, conducts process verification testing, provides technical support and makes appropriate changes to processes.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their team.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directly work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complains and resolving problems.

  • Conduct reviews of prints (including design parameters used), Skid 1’s, routings, D.A.’s, EWO’s and process documents (PFMEAs, ECNs, VSMs, Process Flows, etc.).

  • They shall ensure every new project is launched successfully.

  • Testing and part analysis may be required to support sales. They may interface directly with the customer.

  • Ensure other internal departments are properly supporting the products and meeting customer requirements.

  • The Team Leader shall initiate research & development projects to learn more about process features, new process design, and new materials

  • Team Leader shall ensure the responsible engineer provides support to any department required for customer returns.

  • The Team Leader will initiate research and will ensure new processes and new vendors to meet new product requirements.

  • Travel may be required to support projects, manage customer issues, provide support for sales, gain product information, resolve customer issues, or attend trade shows.

    EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred; combination of education and experience which provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Three (3) years leadership experience (or equivalent) and working with manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

  • Knowledge of different materials.

  • Knowledgeable on lean six sigma and continuous improvement strategies.

  • Knowledge of MSA’s, process simulation and other process control tools.

  • Experience interfacing with customers.

  • Proficient in MS Office.
