We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our facility services team.

Job Summary
Provides for beautiful and pleasant surroundings in the yards; maintains beautiful and well-kept grounds to create a professional looking hospital/nursing home appearance.
Helps wherever needed and paints when time permits.
Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.
Supports the vision, mission, and philosophy statements of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital.
Supports the hospital's goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One to three months related experience and/or training. Knowledge in basic lawn care and painting preferred.
0-6 months of experience is required.
6 months-1 year of experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- This position requires a valid driver’s license, and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
- Varied shifts as needed, PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $22.00 - $31.75
