Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

As a Utility Tractor Operator, you will be responsible for operating Fendt wheeled tractors to perform various tasks on a large civil construction site. Operators primary duties will include pulling Sheep's Foot Rollers, Discs, and Box Blades to assist in site preparation and maintenance. Candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the site is prepared to the highest standards, contributing to the overall success of the project. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining equipment in top condition.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of the machine.

  • Report any concerns to management.

  • Operate scrapers, heavy equipment, haul trucks, and utility tractors.

  • Run Fendt wheeled tractors and pull Sheep's Foot Rollers, Discs, and Box Blades.

  • Work on a large civil site, handling grading, earthwork, and earth-moving tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in scraper operation, heavy equipment operation, and commercial construction.

  • Knowledge of civil construction, grading, earthwork, and earth-moving.

  • Proficiency in operating Belly Scrapers, Utility Tractors, and Off-Road Dump Trucks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required.

  • Ability to be insured to operate company vehicles is an advantage.

  • Experience with SWIP is a plus.

Work Environment

The job site is a civil construction site with wide open spaces, previously farmland. There will be a lot of activity, and strict adherence to OSHA safety standards is required. Professional behavior and appearance are mandatory, as outlined in the Site Code of Conduct, which will be explained during onboarding.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
