Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team at a large precast concrete company. As a General Laborer, you will be involved in various tasks related to the production of concrete slabs for commercial buildings. This role requires consistent lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You may also receive training as a carpenter to build and set concrete forms for production.

Responsibilities

• Move rebar through the facility

• Help set forms and pour concrete

• Perform consistent lifting

• Work in a fast-paced environment

• Set up and oil forms

• Lay mesh

• Tie reinforcing bars and steel

• Set inserts

• Strike off

• Strip forms

• Clean up the work area

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor, concrete work, or construction

• Knowledge of concrete finishing and finish carpentry

• Ability to perform physical tasks and consistent lifting

• Capability to work both indoors and outdoors

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ months of concrete work, either residential or commercial, is a plus

• Experience as a general laborer on a commercial job site is beneficial

Work Environment

This position involves working 50% indoors and 50% outdoors. Concrete setting and pouring are done inside the manufacturing facility, while staging and shipping are conducted outside in the yard. Expect to get dirty during a full day of work. The work hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt. PPE such as a hard hat, vest, and glasses will be provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
