Spirit and Tradition, Signature Events
Monday-Friday,
8:00am - 5:00pm, with flexibility

The coordinator will be responsible for overall development and implementation of Spirit and Tradition programming through the Office of Spirit, Tradition, and Signature Events They will assist with the creation and implementation of large-scale signature events that includes, and not limited to, Convocation, Durango Days, Homecoming, DeStress Fest, and Spirit Trips.
The person will have the interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with campus and community partners to host these events. This position will assist with administrative needs, specifically, front desk, office supplies, graphic design, and scheduling and supervising student workers.
This person will work in conjunction with the director on outreach and community involvement with Durango Discounts and Discover with Durango.
Additionally, the person will evaluate these programs and assess the building of new traditions that relates to the university mission, values, and commitments which includes equity, access, inclusion, diversity and sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA in communications, marketing, media, event planning, or related field.
- One year student activities/leadership experience at a university or college
