Robert Half Accounting Manager in Omaha, Nebraska
Description
We are seeking an Accounting Manager in the Healthcare industry for our client in Omaha, Nebraska. The role involves overseeing all accounting and financial functions, ensuring accuracy and dependability throughout. You will be working in a dynamic team, managing a variety of activities related to general ledger, financial statements, reconciliations, internal controls, and accounts payable/receivables.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and related reports
• Efficiently manage the month-end closing for each entity
• Supervise a finance team including accounts payable clerk, staff accountant, senior accountant and payroll specialist
• Ensure a strong internal control environment in collaboration with the CFO
• Participate actively in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets for all related entities
• Lead annual financial statement audit/review of joint ventures
• Monitor all cash flow activities, including loan transactions, account transfers, excess cash investment, and cash distributions
• Ensure timely payment, coding, and posting of invoices for all related entities
• Ensure compliance with tax filings such as use taxes, property taxes, and 1099’s
• Manage the accurate accrual and funding to the retirement plans of each company
• Assist with the detail-oriented corporations, record all transactions, pay invoices, and prepare financial statements as needed
• Prepare and submit annual Medical Group Management Association survey data and other census filing as needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA is a plus.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting managerial role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Must be adept in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Should have a strong background in Auditing
• Must have experience in managing Payroll Taxes and Quarterly Taxes
• Prior experience in handling Audit Activities is required
• Should have a proven track record of conducting Audit Reviews
• Experience in Financial Statement Audits is a must
• Must be proficient in Financial Statement Preparation.
