Physicians of Southwest Washington Senior Systems Engineer in Olympia, Washington

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for architecting, administering and securing existing on-premise and Azure full-stack including networking, VoIP, SCCM, HyperV/VMM, SQL, SAN and cloud native services. The specific duties include the following:

  • Contribute to architecture based on deep domain experience of Windows Server, Azure, M365, LAN, SCCM, Hyper-V VMM, SQL, SAN, and security.
  • Implement infrastructure technology solution and provide day-to-day support.
  • Partner with team in Monitoring errors, Downtime, System monitoring/alerts.
  • Work with applications or business owners, to support and resolve the system problems related to tuning and performance.
  • Proactively maintain and solve infrastructure and address issues before they become problems.
  • Ensure solutions and systems meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure integration and security of technologies.
  • Express and solve difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • Work independently on assigned projects while utilizing Microsoft 365 product suite and Azure Active Directory and applying knowledge of Active Directory, AD Connect, Password Hash Synch technology, AD Federation Service etc.
  • Plan, design, implement and support solutions for Office 365 user licensing assignment solution using AD and Azure security groups. Workloads include Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Intune.
  • Plan, design and implement solutions for Intune role-based access solution for Operations Administrators.
  • Design and support Intune Device and Configuration policies MDM and MAM.
  • Plan, design and implement solutions of ADFS 3.0, Azure MFA conditional access and SSO for Cloud hosted applications.
  • Utilize Windows 10, PowerShell, as well as ability to understand other scripting languages.
  • Apply healthcare industry security practices (HIPAA/HITRUST), including zero-trust and MFA and networking skills, including WAN/VPN/VLAN.
  • Develop, implement and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Stays informed of industry trends and actively participates in trainings provided by PSW.
  • Implement solutions involving: Office 365, Exchange, Azure AD, Exchange and Online/O365 design/migration and management.
  • Utilize Hyper-V/VMM enterprise-level design and administration.

     

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).

A minimum of eight (8) years of work experience which must include each of the following:

  • 8 years in Azure full-stack enterprise-level design and administration including networking, VoIP, SCCM, HyperV/VMM, SQL, SAN and cloud native services
  • 8 years in network architecture based on deep domain experience of Windows Server, Azure, M365, LAN, SCCM, and security
  • 8 years in on-premise infrastructure and facilities administration and support (hardware, rack and power, environmental)
  • 6 years in Active Directory, AD Connect, Password Hash Synch technology, and AD Federation Service
  • 6 years in utilizing Windows 10, PowerShell, and other scripting languages
  • 6 years in HIPAA and HITRUST compliance and security rules
  • 5 years in designing and supporting Intune Device and Configuration policies MDM and MAM
  • 5 years in planning, designing and implementing solutions of ADFS 3.0, Azure MFA conditional access and SSO for Cloud hosted applications
