Fiscal Analyst 3 (FA3), Grants Analyst Recruitment #2024-5-A195 Full-time, Permanent, Represented position Location: Natural Resources Building - Olympia, WA Work Hours and Partial Telework flexibility may be available and considered - In-office is expected during the probationary period, there will be at least 2 days in office a week for training and familiarization. *Salary: $4,282.00 - $5,756.00 Monthly *

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and developing expenditure and revenue forecasts for the Wildland Fire Division.
  • Creating and running ad-hoc reports, as well as, running monthly budget and expenditure reports and analyzing them.
  • Analyzing and researching complex Wildland Fire expenditures. Making journal voucher requests for incorrect or unusual payments.
  • Independently and with program guidance analyze expenditures for fiscal year-end close to prepare Division grant closeout.
  • Processing reimbursements and tracking federal spending.
  • Develop grant budgets and monitor expenses.

Required Qualifications: 

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, budgeting, or general business administration to include 18 quarter or 12 semester credits in accounting; OR a combination of equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and numerical ability.
