Job Description

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Government Training Engineering team in support of Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers programs in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma . This role will focus on the development of requirements, architectures, and designs for training systems in support of E-3 AWACS, E-7 Wedgetail, B-52 Bomber, and KC-46 Tanker programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of technical requirements, architectures, and designs (RAD) to support the developing of large-scale training systems.

  • Identify and define interfaces and information flows across internal and external subsystems.

  • Works with multi-disciplinary team to track progress of system development.

  • Leads the RAD team's engagement with other key stakeholders such as the Test, Software, Hardware Design, Chief Engineer, and Program Management.

  • Acts as Technical Lead Engineer (TLE), mentoring and leading early and mid-career engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 7+ years developing requirements, architectures, and designs.

  • 2+ years leading requirements, architecture, and design at a program/product level.

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of JIRA, GIT and other work management software

  • Experience with Systems Engineering Best Practices

  • General working level knowledge of tactical aircraft avionics systems, subsystems, and components, to include flight controls, radar, communications and weapons, power distribution, etc. This includes the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces

  • Experience in aircraft simulation and/or training devices

  • Experience working with the Systems Engineering Lifecycle including System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, and/or Technical Working Groups

  • Experience using Requirements/Test tools such as CMPro, DOORS, and Cameo

  • Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework enterprise (SAFe) or Agile in general

  • Experience using Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
