Continental Resources IT Security Analyst in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Job Summary

The Information Security role will support the technical aspects of the Legal Hold and eDiscovery processes. This position serves as the technical resource for the systems and processes used to identify, preserve and collect custodial data used in litigation and compliance matters. While not the focus, this role will also handle IT Security duties including monitoring system and network logs to identify threats, misconfigurations and anomalies and assist with any necessary remediation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work directly with attorneys within the Legal Department to assist with aspects of litigation and case management.

  • Assist attorneys with legal hold and eDiscovery obligations.

  • Assist with administration of the company’s legal hold processes and systems.

  • Responsible for maintaining legal hold equipment including imaging hard drives and mobile phones.

  • Responsible for overseeing and the adherence of the chain of custody process for both hardware and ESI.

  • Subject matter expert in eDiscovery collection and general IT knowledge with the ability to participate in depositions if needed.

  • Assist in compliance investigations.

  • Support operational implementation requirements ensuring compliance with information security policy, standards, guidelines.

  • Report any threats, misconfigurations or anomalies and assist with remediation in some cases.

  • Utilizes new technologies and processes to enhance security capabilities and implement improvements.

  • Develop automated processes to improve efficiency and detection using exiting and open source tools

  • Ensure timely reporting and remediation of discovered security issues.

  • Work with others to help remediate security incidents.

  • Keep up with evolving risks, new development in the security industry and industry best practices.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in an IT related position

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work with others

  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.

  • Related certifications a plus

  • Experience in an Information Security or Legal eDiscovery position.

  • Possess an understanding of legal and eDiscovery processes as well as litigation.

  • Understanding of security threats and incident response

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
