What You'll Do:

  • Obtain digitized data using state of the art 3D scanning x-ray equipment from North Star Imaging.

  • Meet with engineers to understand test request requirements, develop guidance to potential scan technique solutions and assist with reviewing final scan data.

  • Design and execute fixturing of samples using various low-density materials.

  • Occasionally handle biohazardous materials.

  • Assist with CT data presentation to visitors.

  • Assist with various day to day lab activities such as basic machine maintenance, calibration and record keeping.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate degree in STEM field or equivalent experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of mechanisms, fixturing and engineering concepts.

  • Mathematical aptitude and ability to operate sophisticated lab equipment.

  • Minimum of 2 years in the related job function preferred.

  • Attend and be certified in the DR and CT (Level I) training from North Star Imaging preferred.

  • Prior experience with North Star Imaging NDT X-ray or CT equipment preferred.

  • Experience developing and applying new or routine X-Ray and CT methods or techniques preferred.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, analytical problem solving and conceptual design skills.

  • Presentation skills to be able to assist with lab tours.

  • Strong computer skills that include being able to utilize Microsoft Office, knowing how to transfer files and keep them organized.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Must be detail oriented and have an exceptional work ethic.

  • Be able to work and adapt in a fast paced, agile technical environment.

  • Able to quickly learn laboratory techniques and workflow while working under pressure.

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
