Nikanos, Inc., 173 Main Street, PO Box 1726, Ogunquit, ME 03907, 207-646-1112, has a need for 1 Food Preparation Worker position for temporary, full-time employment. Prepare ingredients for service to the chefs guidelines for all Nikanos recipes, including measuring, washing vegetables, and ensuring that kitchen hygiene and standards are maintained. Keep work areas clean and sanitized. Assist with stocking and putting away kitchen supplies. Ensure all food and ingredients are stored properly, including labeling and storing. Assist in receiving and storing food supplies in designated food storage areas. Clean dishes, pots and pans, tableware, and all other related materials for the restaurant. Must be able to operate the automatic dish machine after training. Load dishes, silverware and glasses into dish machine. Mop floors in kitchen areas, remove trash and clean garbage containers. Inform management when cleaning products are running low or if dish equipment is not functioning properly. Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff. Standing for up to 8 hrs per shift and lifting up to 50 lbs. No education or experience required. On-the-job training provided. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Workers are needed from 04/01/2025 - 11/01/2025. Employer will offer 35 hours per week, rotating shifts Monday - Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. or 4 p.m. - 11 p.m. Shifts may change slightly based on restaurant hours during the season. Night and weekend work is required. Rate is \$16.40 per hour. Overtime may be required depending on workload. Overtime rate is \$24.60 per hour. Employer will use a single workweek for computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday by check or direct deposit. Employer will make all deductions from the worker\'s paycheck required by law. Optional single housing with heat and electricity (within walking distance of work location) provided for \$150 per week, which is deducted from workers paycheck if using optional housing. No daily transportation to restaurant provided to workers. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker via check for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide via check reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where employer has appropriately reported a worker\'s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed via check in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
