MOUNTAIN STATES LP GAS Experienced Dispatcher in OGDEN, Utah
We are looking to add an experienced dispatcher to our team. As a family-owned and operated company with over 35 years in business, we require someone reliable, fast-paced, and with multitasking skills. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of geographic locations and be ready to assist our drivers when necessary.
Responsibilities
You will work directly with drivers, in a professional manner, to verify information, sort, scan, and enter paperwork into our system. This includes identifying and correcting any errors. You will also update Excel sheets, track emails and messages accurately, and respond to requests promptly upon receipt.
Additionally, you will dispatch all drivers before 3:00 PM daily and handle after-hours calls to assist drivers with roadside assistance or load information. You may also provide support to other staff members as needed. These responsibilities are just a few examples of the tasks you will be expected to perform.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of previous experience in the trucking industry.
• Be able to operate common office equipment, computers, scanners, and printers.
• Must be able to dispatch drivers according to location and loads.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess organizational skills.
• Be able to read and write in English.
• Understand basic instructions and follow procedures.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
