JOB REQUIREMENTS: We Are Hiring:Surgical Assistant (CFA) - Oconomowoc Full Time Days At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN and ophthalmology. Our 8 operating rooms, freshly renovated in May 2020, include new system integration for more efficient flow during surgery. As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence we provide an array of orthopedic procedures including same day discharge procedures for total joints. The SA understands human anatomy; has developed surgical skill such as exposure, hemostasis, anatomical identification, wound closure and proper positioning of the patient for the procedure. The SA must have knowledge of the surgical procedure and ability to anticipate needs of the surgeon. The SA has a working knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique, peri-operative policies and procedural guidelines. The SA will work with the operating roomRN to ensure the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
