Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in improving the overall reliability and performance of manufacturing and infrastructure equipment. This position is essential for maintaining plant equipment at optimum efficiency. The Maintenance Technician will utilize troubleshooting skills and experience to resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems. The technician will report to Level A Technicians and will be responsible for training and developing lower-level maintenance technicians, machine operators, and helpers to enhance machine efficiencies.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repair on sprockets, pumps, and related equipment associated with bearings, shafts, chains, conveyors, and belts.
Perform routine maintenance and repair on Hyperbaric HPP equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and repair on steam, pneumatic, water, hydraulic, and other related piping equipment.
Use and interpret schematics and blueprints related to mechanical and electrical equipment within the facility.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and resolve identified issues and problems.
Observe situations, diagnose problems accurately, and implement corrective actions with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate working knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures and confined space entry.
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance database records.
Engage in ongoing personal development, including staying updated on current maintenance techniques.
Participate in safety and housekeeping programs.
Perform other duties as directed by the Plant Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Process Engineer, and Level A Technician.
Essential Skills
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
Experience with lock-out/tag-out and confined space entry procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and correct issues independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a food or beverage regulated environment is ideal.
Flexibility to work 2nd and 3rd shifts.

This role involves working in a food and beverage regulated environment, where adherence to safety and maintenance protocols is paramount. The position requires flexibility to work 2nd and 3rd shifts. Employees are expected to follow all safety guidelines, including lock-out/tag-out and confined space entry procedures. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
