Job Title: Commercial Door Installer

Job Description

We are hiring Commercial Door Installers at all levels for a large construction company. This is a long-term opportunity for career-minded individuals looking to advance and stay with a company. The scope of work includes lab, multi-family, and high and mid-rise mixed-use construction projects primarily located in downtown San Diego and the Carlsbad area.

Responsibilities

• Install doors, frames, and hardware in commercial construction projects.

• Work with hollow metal, timely, and knock-down aluminum frames.

• Handle architectural flush, stile, and rail doors.

• Install mechanical and electrified hardware.

• Interpret project drawings and hardware schedules.

• Manage materials and ensure compliance with door/frame/hardware standards and tolerances.

• Lift and handle materials weighing 50 lbs or more.

• Maintain an understanding of BHMA & ANSI Finish Designations, ADA, and Fire Code Compliance.

Essential Skills

• 2-8 years of door installation experience.

• Experience with frame-hollow metal and knock-down aluminum.

• Understanding of mechanical and electrified hardware.

• Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, drilling, and carpentry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication and material management.

• Understanding of keying systems (preferred).

• Certifications such as OSHA 10 or 30 hour, Fall Protection, CPR certified, and certifications from major hardware manufacturers or AAADM Certification are preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Oceanside,CA.
