Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Machinist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will set up and operate a variety of computer-controlled and mechanically controlled equipment to produce precision metal parts, instruments, and tools. Your daily tasks will include fabricating new machine parts using manual or CNC milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders, reading blueprints and technical drawings, and selecting appropriate cutting tools and materials for each job. You will also be responsible for measuring and inspecting finished parts, adjusting machine settings, troubleshooting machinery issues, and participating in rebuilding functions of equipment. Collaborating with engineers and other team members to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality will be an integral part of your role. It's essential you maintain regular attendance and the ability to work overtime as business need dictates.

Hard Skills

  • Manual machining proficiency with manual mills (Bridgeport) and lathes

  • 3+ Years of Machinist Experience

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Knowledge of machine operation and troubleshooting

  • Experience with CNC machines

  • Quality control and inspection

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Continuous learning and staying updated on advancements in machining technology and techniques

  • Adherence to safety protocols and regulations

  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
