SUMMARY

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Financial Analyst; who will be reporting to the Supervisor Operations Finance & Payroll- Oakville , this position will be responsible for the operational finance for Oakville. It will focus on the Landing Gear product stream, with primary support to the site operational teams to manage operational efficiency, productivity & manufacturing variances document & explain gaps vs monthly estimates and or plan/budget, perform various analysis.

Work Model: Onsite at Oakville Facility - Oakville, Ontario

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform departmental cost analysis, monthly analysis, and reporting.

  • Perform various month end activities, including journal entries, SAP & HFM schedules, CAPEX clearing among other monthly tasks.

  • Work very closely with the Operations and perform manufacturing variance analysis and reporting.

  • Present data to Finance and Operations, including insight on potential corrective actions and forecasting compared to Plan.

  • Coordinate the annual cost centre budget cycle and the monthly Estimating process.

  • Perform account reconciliations for assigned accounts.

  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to support the financial aspects of the manufacturing costing process, and other finance processes in general.

  • Support indirect vendor’s cost analysis, accounts payable and associated functions.

  • Actively use BW / BI, Tableau, advanced Excel and other tools for Day-to-Day analysis.

  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit or government compliance activities, reporting, and analysis.

  • Perform other duties as required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline and typically 5 years of financial analyst experience. Or an Advanced Degree in a related field and typically 3 years of experience.

  • In the absence of a degree, nine (9) years of relevant experience is required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working Experience in Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Working Experience in an ERP system.

  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP and be eligible to work in Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP Experience

  • Working knowledge of Tableau, BW / BI, Power Queries, Reporting interfaces and other reporting tools.

  • Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
