The Leasing Assistant will play a critical role in our client’s mission to provide affordable housing solutions to our community. They will support our leasing team in all facets of the leasing process, ensuring an efficient and welcoming experience for our clientele. The Leasing Assistant will liaise with tenants, manage leasing logistics, and maintain up-to-date databases of rental property information. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our effort towards socially inclusive housing and work in a thriving, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

· Supporting the leasing team in showcasing properties to prospective tenants.

· Assisting in the preparation and execution of leases and agreements, ensuring compliance with local and federal housing laws.

· Maintaining records of rental activity, including vacancies, occupancy rates, and lease expirations.

· Coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs, performing necessary inspections, and ensuring readiness of units for new tenants.

· Addressing and quickly resolving tenant inquiries, issues, and complaints with a high degree of professionalism and customer service.

· Collecting rent payments and maintaining accurate records of transactions.

· Assisting in promotional and marketing activities to attract potential tenants.

· Working with a team to achieve property goals.

Requirements

· Previous experience in property management, leasing, or a related field.

· Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Understanding of leasing laws and regulations.

· Exceptional organization, communication, and customer service skills.

· Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
