Job Purpose:

Provide technical support and assistance to account managers and customers through the completion of plant data analysis and on-site support, development of technical proposals, identification of service opportunities, and the promotion of customer relationships in order to leverage sales for JM.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Use technical software for the design, prediction, evaluation, troubleshooting, and optimization of catalyst performance

• Hold operational data review meetings to maximize customer catalyst value

• Provide technical support at customer sites for catalyst installation, commissioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting

• Produce technical proposals in support of technical/commercial strategies

• Gain technical knowledge and understanding of customer processes (flow sheets and catalyst/absorbent uses)

• Strengthen technical customer relationships to maintain catalyst sales

• Provide operational and technical support to customers with problem solving and troubleshooting to prove catalyst performance

• Capture customer data to develop and improve catalyst design guides and case studies

• Attend relevant technical seminars in the region and author or present technical papers

• Work to standards outlined in the design guides to ensure consistency across the global business

• Share updates as product champion to central/broader team

Requirements for the role:

• Appropriate EHS awareness (e.g. on site EHS, OSHA, hazardous goods)

• Bachelor degree level qualification in chemical engineering

• This role will involve significant travel (30%) with more than 90% within the Americas. Onsite visits may include shift and weekend work/travel and will require flexibility to allow for changing customer requirements.

• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization, e.g. supply-chain, finance, manufacturing, new business development and R&D

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
