JOB REQUIREMENTS: Technical Service Rep - JR2420464 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Technical Service Representative , you will be an important part of delivering excellent customer service and ensuring sales growth of our Industrial Coatings account(s) as an onsite PPG expert. You will provide customer(s) with product and technical know-how to ensure PPG products and services outperform competitors\'. As a TSR you must be well versed in product composition, customer application equipment, environmental issues, and processes that are ancillary to the finishing operations. Responsibilities: * Comply with all of PPG EHS guidelines and initiatives. * Primary contact person for all customer complaints and questions. Will lead in communicating between the customer and internal PPG support departments. * Provide sales support to maintain and expand business at existing accounts and to assist with launches / start-ups of new accounts. * Advise colleagues in setting sales strategies and executing sales / profit plans for the entire product line / region. * Collaborate in the design and development of new coatings to ensure that these products work well on the customer(s)\' processes. * Become knowledgeable of the PPG liquid coating, powder coatings, ADS field repair, and restoration methodologies. * Maintain paint quality, addressing/solving issues, and process management. * Build sales position by establishing strong customer relationships at all levels, provide timely resolution to customer\'s concerns, and quickly troubleshoot problems. * Manage inventory at customer locations of PPG product to increase inventory turns, reduce product obsolescence and maximize freight advantages. * Provide superior technical problem solving which produces higher yield rates, lower reject rates and optimum appearance on the customer\'s production line. * Take lead on special projects. * Service primary account and other customers assigned in regional territory.
