Martin Technologies Fabricator in Novi, Michigan
MARTIN is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our expanding team to support product engineering, testing, prototype and manufacturing services. As a MARTIN fabricator, you will play a crucial role in creating and refining various products supporting the automotive industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of fabrication and related equipment
Execute build activities from Bill of Materials
Provide updates to various project documents
Weld various metal parts and assemblies
Weld in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions
Build from blueprints, drawings and schematics demonstrating a "built to print" capability
Perform assembly and disassembly tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
Read, understand, and execute wiring tasks from diagrams / drawings
Perform installation of wiring and related components
Keeping shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance
Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up
Adhere to safety standards and practices at all times
Collaborate with team members
Provide significant and measurable contribution
Collaborate with the team to improve product quality and build efficiency
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Fabricator
Willingness to take on a variety of different tasks
Knowledge of working characteristics of metallic materials
Proficient welding skills, including Aluminum MIG, TIG, and Heli arc
Hands-on experience with a variety of machining tools
Provide roller toolbox with basic hand tools for various fabrication tasks
Basic knowledge and experience in electrical / wiring - reading wiring diagrams, understanding circuits, general materials (low and high voltage)
Assembly experience - with focus on precision and quality
Excellent attention to detail, with a strong commitment to quality
Good communication skills
Commitment to following safety, process, procedures, written and verbal directions, document updates as required
Reliability
Certificate in Welding Technology or related field
CAD experience is highly desired but not required
