Description

We are offering a role for a Desktop Support Analyst. In this role, you will be tasked with the installation, repair, and maintenance of microcomputers and peripheral equipment, including the configuration and deployment of mobile devices. This position is within the telecom industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the installation, repair, and maintenance of microcomputers and peripheral equipment

• Configure and deploy mobile devices as per set policies and procedures

• Diagnose and resolve problems, distinguishing between local hardware, application, and network problems

• Coordinate the expeditious repair or replacement of defective equipment to ensure computer hardware and associated peripherals are functioning as designed

• Vigilantly monitor for security threats, non-compliant activities, and system anomalies

• Deploy new PCs in accordance with policies and procedures

• Methodically and efficiently troubleshoot reported problems

• Inspect equipment, associated peripherals, and wiring for signs of pre-failure indicators

• Demonstrate professionalism and respect for customers and team members

• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of remote access tools and install commercial and specialized software applications while strictly adhering to internal policies, procedures, and best practices.

This role requires exceptional customer service skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks and responsibilities accordingly. It also requires a good understanding of network protocols, desktop hardware configurations, and peripherals

Requirements • Possess strong customer service skills, with an ability to interact effectively with users to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.

• Experience with office functions and procedures, including best practices to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, to manage and organize data and communications.

• Familiarity with policy and compliance functions, ensuring all activities adhere to established guidelines and regulations.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop systems, software, and hardware.

• Experience with configuration management and defect management, ensuring systems are configured correctly and any defects are effectively addressed.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating system and Active Directory.

• Ability to work with vendors and other third parties to procure necessary equipment and services.

• Experience providing deskside support, assisting users directly with their systems.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to provide support at different facilities.

• Proficiency in executing tasks and projects according to established plans and schedules.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals.

• Familiarity with Windows OS and other operating systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality of systems and software.
