Factset Research Systems Implementation Specialist, Real Time - R26136 in Norwalk, Connecticut
The Data Solutions group is responsible for the growth and support of FactSets DataFeed (off-platform) products. Our aim is to consult and organize our clients data consumption processes with FactSets proprietary and industry-standard delivery solutions. You will gain exposure to the entire Real Time Data Solutions product suite and learn to design custom solutions tailored to each client using a combination of products.
The Implementation Specialist, Real Time is a subject matter expert in FactSets Real Time products, tasked with deploying FactSets offerings by managing high-value projects and engagements. The primary focus of the Implementation Specialist is to ensure that FactSets clients are properly set up to derive maximum value from their FactSet subscriptions.
All work done by the Implementation Specialist is project-based and may include solution deployments, optimization, and other time and knowledge intensive projects. As a Real Time Implementation Specialist, you will mainly be responsible for the deployments of new Real Time projects, which includes gathering client requirements, preparing proof of concepts where needed, process design, implementation, testing and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with our sales engineers, product managers and solution design teams throughout the implementation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and document solutions using the Solution Design blueprint
- Function as a client-facing subject matter expert on our Real-Time solutions stack, helping clients use our content and technology
- Serve as an escalation point for support and retention efforts
- Assist with learning and development efforts
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the finance industry, current market trends and competitive landscape
- Build trust between clients and FactSet
- Engagement in regular Product meetings to discuss enhancements (work with agile teams, improving existing and new products)
- Demo technical solutions in partnership with Sales team to prospects
- Provide client training on solution deployed
Business Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

``` - 5+ years of industry experience within financial services, fintech, or market data firms/consultancies and in a client-facing role with prior sales, pre-sales, or sales engineering experience.

``` - Strong understanding of financial client needs, industry trends, and the competitive ecosystem of vendors and platforms. Interpret client requirements and map them onto the full suite of FactSets applications, content, technology, services, workflow solutions, and professional services.

``` - Initiative-taker who can thrive in a dynamic environment and embody an enterprising spirit, managing multiple client engagements and projects simultaneously.

``` - Prior experience with technology, either through work experience or education (such as a degree in Information Systems, Business Technology, or Computer Science).

``` - Technical acumen, preferably with knowledge or experience in APIs, cloud environments, relational databases, ability to quickly grasp new technologies and systems. - Ability to travel as needed.
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience in market data qualities of service (e.g., streaming, snap, real-time, delayed, conflated, tick-by-tick, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of tick history data, application integrations (e.g., high-speed databases), and resulting business processes (e.g., TCA).

``` - An understanding of industry metrics (e.g., latency, market volumes, message rates) concerning firm-type workflows.

``` - An understanding of market data applications within trading, wealth management, and retail workflows.

``` - Knowledge of global markets, financial asset types (including depth of book), and data products offered.

``` - Awareness of commercial practices (e.g., data access, licensing, redistribution fees) used by exchange venues, data providers, and software platforms.

The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of Connecticut and New York is $90,000-$125,000.
