Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Northridge, California. As part of our team, you will be working in the telecom industry and be expected to handle various account payable functions, maintain and update accounting software systems, and ensure smooth data processing.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for accounts payable functions.

• Enter data accurately and efficiently, ensuring all account payable details are up-to-date.

• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies in the accounts payable process.

• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions and data entry tasks.

• Process checks while adhering to the company's policies and procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable processes.

• Resolve any customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Ensure the timely processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain and update customer credit records as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a related field

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with IBM AS/400

• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Processing

• Data Entry skills

• Ability to manage Discrepancy issues

• Experience in Auditing

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
